FLUORODYNE™ FC 330 is a high-performance anionic fluorosurfactant (30% active) developed for water-borne architectural and roof coating systems where superior surface control and long-term cleanliness are required. Based on modern C6 fluorotelomer chemistry, FC 330 delivers very low surface tension at extremely low dosage levels. It enhances wetting, flow, and leveling, enabling uniform film formation on a wide range of substrates.
In exterior coatings, FC 330 significantly improves dirt pick-up resistance (DPUR) by reducing surface energy and minimizing soil anchoring. This leads to easy-clean and rain-washable surfaces, helping coatings retain brightness and appearance over time. The anionic nature provides good compatibility with common acrylic and elastomeric binders. Supplied at 30% active in a water/IPA carrier, FC 330 is easy to incorporate into low-VOC, water-borne formulations. It is particularly effective in white and light-colored roof coatings, where clean appearance retention is critical.

Reduces soil adhesion and staining tendency on exterior coatings
Helps dirt rinse off more readily during rain or water wash
Improves substrate wetting on difficult or low-energy surfaces
Supports smooth film formation and gloss uniformity
Can assist wetting of pigments/fillers in water-borne systems
performance at ppm-level active addition
Modern fluorosurfactant profile (trial and compliance review recommended)
Dosage depends on resin type, pigment volume concentration (PVC), coalescent package, and the targeted wetting/DPUR level. Always optimize with lab trials.
0.05 – 0.30% on total formulation
Equivalent to 0.015 – 0.090% active on total formulation
Wetting / flow / leveling: 0.05 – 0.15%
DPUR / easy-clean boost (exterior): 0.10 – 0.30%
Upper-limit note: Over-dosage of fluorosurfactants can increase sensitivity to foam, impact intercoat adhesion, or cause surface defects in some systems—optimize carefully.
