Waterborne formulations—especially surfactant-rich systems—often generate foam during dispersion, milling, pumping, and application. Excess foam reduces process efficiency, creates filling and packaging issues, and can trap microbubbles that show up as film defects.
FOAMSTAB NXG is a liquid defoamer designed for universal waterborne applications with a strong focus on long-term foam control.
Its technology is based on an ultra-fine dispersion of wax in mineral oil, providing fast defoaming along with persistent foam suppression.
FOAMSTAB NXG performs especially well in highly emulsifying systems such as surfactant-stabilized emulsions and emulsion paints, where controlling re-foaming is critical. A major advantage is its excellent storage stability, supporting consistent performance and batch-to-batch reproducibility. With the right dosage and correct addition stage, FOAMSTAB NXG improves productivity, reduces foam-related defects, and supports improved coating performance in demanding waterborne systems.

FOAMSTAB WBA: Strong foam knockdown + suppression of re-foaming in many aqueous adhesive systems; particularly useful where easy dispersion and microfoam reduction are needed.
Silicone Defoamers: Often extremely fast foam knockdown and strong performance across many systems—especially tough foams.
FOAMSTAB WBA: Typically preferred when formulators want reliable foam control with lower risk of surface-related issues in sensitive applications.
Silicone Defoamers: Can sometimes increase the risk of surface defects (e.g., craters/fisheyes) or intercoat issues in certain formulations, depending on resin, surfactants, and application conditions.
FOAMSTAB WBA: Dispersible in water, non-ionic, easy to handle and incorporate.
Silicone Defoamers: Can be highly effective but may require careful selection and incorporation technique to ensure compatibility and avoid separation or surface problems.
Choose FOAMSTAB WBA when you need dependable foam control in aqueous adhesives, want microfoam destruction, easy dispersion, and APEO-free positioning.
Choose Silicone Defoamers when maximum knockdown is needed for very persistent foam—while managing compatibility and surface sensitivity through trials.
Store FOAMSTAB 520 in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination and solvent loss.
Avoid storing near sparks, open flames, or ignition sources, as the product contains a low-flash hydrocarbon solvent.
If stored below 0 °C, the product may exhibit slight turbidity or separation.
To restore full uniformity, warm gently to approx. 40 °C and stir well before use.
Do not expose sealed containers to temperatures above 45–50 °C to prevent pressure build-up.
Ensure adequate ventilation during use to avoid inhalation of vapors.
Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
Avoid splashing or high-speed addition to prevent localized over-foaming or crater formation.
Use only the original, properly labeled containers supplied by the manufacturer.
Ensure drums and containers are always grounded and bonded during transfer to prevent static discharge.
Use pump or controlled pour methods—avoid rough handling or dropping containers.
Keep away from strong oxidizing agents, acids, and alkalis.
FOAMSTAB 520 remains stable for at least 12 months under recommended storage conditions.
Re-homogenize gently if stored for a long time.
In case of small spills, absorb with inert absorbents like sand or universal absorbent.
Collect the absorbed material into suitable containers for disposal as per local regulations.
Avoid letting the product enter drains, soil, or natural water bodies.
Keep suitable extinguishing media nearby: foam, CO₂, dry powder, or water spray.
Ensure fire protection systems are in place for storage areas containing flammable liquids.
FOAMSTAB 520 is an industrial-grade additive and must not be used in food-contact applications.
Follow all applicable local safety, environmental, and storage regulations.
Ideal for laboratory use, small batch production, and formulation trials.
Suitable for medium-scale users and consistent monthly consumption.
Economical option for bulk users and large-volume manufacturing facilities.
